Update CD

Is there any harm in installing an update more than once on the same PC? Or
out of order?

I've created an update CD with all critical updates for the past 9 months.
It installs all updates on the CD with a batch file and ends with qchain.exe.
The intention is to have a PC patched as much as possible before getting it
online and downloading via Windows Update.

Two examples of using it are:
1. On a PC that has not been updated in 12 months. Is this case, AFTER
using the CD, Windows Update will install updates from 9-12 months ago.

2. On a PC that was last updated 4 months ago. Using the CD will REINSTALL
updates from 4-9 months ago.

Would doing this create any issues?
