When Windows Update was executed my resolution had been changed to 640*480
and 4-bit. On my Windows XP pc's I used a restore point to kill the update.
Has anyone an idea how I restore my resolution on Windows 2000 pc's?

IN DISPLAY:
click on the SETTINGS tab.
In the menu window click the desired screen resolution.
Apply

The same thing happened to me with the recent Dell Graphics update. I'm not
a techie. Can anyone walk me thru a restore point for XP Pro on a Dell
Optiplex, or point me anywhere for instructions? I'm really sweating this.
My computer is practically useless. Thanks for any help

GO TO:
Srat button
programs
system tools
system restore
the "radio button" should be on "restore my system to an earlier time"
click: NEXT
pick the date PREVIOUS to when you updated.
click NEXT

you should be able to figure it out from there

I smell (possibly) "Safe Mode". I've (somehow) seen safemove video settings
get promoted to regular booting profile, if that is the word. Changing the
video via desktop properties is all I can remember changing back...
