Yet another victim with failed updates due to the not-so-uncommon update
error 57E. I have scoured many discussion groups and seen many suggestions
for solutions, for now every one of them has failed.
My office: MS Office Professional 2007 (SP1)
My OS: Vista Business 32bit
Failed updates:
Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 security (KB969693)
2007 Microsoft Office Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Failed solutions (that I remember):
Download and and run the update manually.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838687 methods 1 and 3
I do not have any installation media for Office 2007, simply the product key.
Help would be much appreciated before I start pulling my hair off, thank u
in advance.
