Update error 80244019

Hello
2 Vista Business machines in a 2003 AD domain using WSUS 2.1 via GP,
suddenly receive update errors even on maunual attempts
the error is windows update encountered an unknown error error code
80244019
The client has eset nod32 AV /firewall and has turned off the firewall
Is there a fix?

Thanks , I know its not a virus/malware and the background intell teransfer
is running.
Its only the Vista machines... wait for 7?
