Update Failed 0x13

Boy did I goober it up.

My wife had started the update that installs IE 7. I needed the internet for
something else so I clicked on what I thought was the Cancel button. When I
went back to install IE 7 it is not offered as an update. In the update
history it shows that the update failed with code 0x13. In the IE 7 .log in
the C:/Windows directory the last line says that the user chose to never
install IE 7.

Any ideas on how I could get the Windows Update page to offer the IE 7
update to me again?

Thanks.

Mox

Don't bother with update, just download IE7 from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx and install it
from that.

It will save you a TON of grief.

Thanks for the reply. I found a restore point that was just prior to the
attempted install. I used it and the install went smoothly after that.
However I am following your advice for installation on our second computer
and my laptop.

Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply.
As I stated in my reply to Mike above, I managed to get IE 7 installed on
one computer. I will be following the guidelines that you referenced for
installation on our other computers.

Keep em flying.
