update history has disappeared

what could I of done to cause my update history to completely disappear, the
last time I had looked there was pages & pages of updates now there is 0
also the last 8-10 x's Ive gone to the update site to download the updates I
get a messages that states "website has encountered a problem & cannot
display the page you are trying to view. Take the following steps to try to
solve this. ( I have tried the steps with 0 luck. Any idea what could be
happening??? ) I'm using Windows XP home edition sp2
