Update History Missing

After I manually installed SP1 [SigmaTel driver issue], windows update
history is missing. That is to say, before, when I would select Windows
Update, View Update History, I would get a list of all updates even those
that failed. Now I get a list of the only update received since SP1 which was
for Defender. If I select the link "Go to Installed Updates" I get the full
list of installed updates. What happened to the first list that showed them
all?

All of my Update History is missing except the ones from 9/9/08. I have not
done anything except replace some bad memory before update Tuesday. Could
that have anything to do with the missing history. I wouldn't think that
replacing memory would do anything, but one never knows. I have put in new
memory before and not lost my update history. Can't find anywhere how to get
it back or if it can be gotten back. I don't have "Go to installed updates"
to click on, all I have is Review your update history and when I click on
that all I see is the 5 from 9/9/08. They installed successfully, but I would
like to have them all back.

Why not use Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer

This will keep a check on what is installed and what is needed etc.

I cannot answer why you lost your history.
