Microsoft folk,
I work as the North-West University Marketing Director and also on a
contract basis for the Partnership for Supply Chain management, a USAID
organization. At both sites I am totally unable to update either Win XP or
Vista Beta 2 from behind their firewalls, notwithstanding the fact that they
have a WSUS server.
1. What needs to be done to configure this server for Vista upgrades?
(Techical IT solutions please..)
2. Could Microsoft not simply be accumulate and zip the upgrades (like
Lavasoft does) and then we can download and extract them on our machines?
The IT folk hate the Windows auto-update feature for some or other reason
and I hate getting those pesky "out of date messages" from just about every
XP and Vista component.
Please help.
