Update installation errors

Whenever I complete my windows update downloads and try to install them, I am
greeted with a message box saying my updates were unable to install. My
internet connection is working fine. I have a similar problem in which
sometimes when I install my games, I get a box saying "error 1347 (or some
number like that)" that renders the software to work improperly. Help pls.
