Update KB835732 Repeatedly Offered

I just reformatted, and I installed Win 2000 and upgraded directly to XP Pro
(SP1). I'm going through Windows Update, and I keep getting stuck at said
update. The computer will download it and install it, the install will claim
to be sucessful, but I can't get past it. I have tried to do the following:

Reboot
Reformat (again to see if I could get past it)
Install manually (downloading the update from microsoft's website)
Uninstall in Add/Remove Programs and try to install
Remove the update folder from the registry

And maybe a few other things. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Download and install the tool to see if this assists in the problem. Hopefully you'll
get the updates you need.
