Update kb842773

installation failure Error code 8007FODA, Udate for
Background Intelligence Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and
WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773). this update has failed on several
occassions. Can any one help me with this. Is ther a way
to successfully error code definitions and related
solutions / help.

Can I have you download the BITS 2.0 directly from our download site. I'll
include the link below.
Are you able to install the Update for Background Intelligent Transfer
Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773) from the below location.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If this fails then let me have you perform the following steps:.

Rename the CatRoot2 folder. To do this, follow these steps

1. Start Windows Explorer, and then open the following folder:



C:\WINDOWS\system32\

2. Right-click the CatRoot2 folder, and then click "Rename". Rename the

CatRoot2 folder "CatRoot2old".



3. Start Internet Explorer, and then open the Windows Update Web site to
continue the updates.

I'm having trouble installing this one too. I got the message
"set up could not verify the integrity of the file update.inf.
Make sure the cryptographic service is running on this computer"

So what do I do now please?
