I have had the same problem. Exactly the same error messages.
I've renamed the ohci1394.sys file and tried to install the update. No go.
Each time I reboot, and old version of ohci1394.sys is re-installed
automatically. I don't know how to stop this, but I suspect it wouldn't
matter. The other file that is mentioned in the KB article
catupdsidspeed.dll (or something like that) I can't find anywhere on my
system, so I don't think it is causing the problem.
These threads describing this problem have been around for awhile now. But
no one has posted an actual solution, and MS hasn't done anything about it
yet, apparently. Geez!
