Update KB911567 fails with Error Code: 0x8007F302

This update fails using automatic update.
I am running Windows 2000 professional sp4.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue.

No immediate idea on this error. However, DO post an extract from your log.
Try to look again at your Windows Update log file, and "only" get the set of entries for the "last" date where "Error" is listed.
Posted back here (in a text attachment) the set of entries for that day.

Use Notepad or Wordpad and take a look at (usually C:\WINNT for WIN2000 )
%windir%\WindowsUpdate.log

Scan down to the bottom. Review contents.
You need to look for entries marked "Error" such as 0x......... (where ....... are numbers)

Use Windows Explorer, find, and look at contents of file KB911567.log
If found, attach a copy of that as well.

This log file should be in your Windows folder (usually C:\WINNT or C:\Windows )

Also, Go to Windows Update, but then select View update history. (When you first get to website for Microsoft Update-Windows Update, look at left-hand column, under Options. Press "Review your update history".)
If this is on V6 of Windows Update, you should be able to click on that error note, and see some info.

Post back here with attachments, and any new info you find.
