I'm also having the problem (and many others). I've hidden the update for the
time being to stop it re-appearing. Cannot install in either automatic updates
or manual.

I've tried a few things with failure. I have sent a copy of my log file to MS.
If I hear anything, I'll post it.

Perform a Windows Repair Install (NOT a Clean Install), it worked for me.

ReInstall Windows!!! This is not a serious enough problem to even think of a
reinstall.
Simply hide the update as TaurArian suggested until MS repairs the update.
Worked for me,

Good try, but it didn't work for me. It might for others.

I had previously tried a manual install of 912475 but that wouldn't produce the
uninstall files.

Tried your fix, even tried a manual removal of 912475 (via the uninstall files
you supplied) but that was a bit dicey due to it stating how many programs would
be affected.

Be interesting to hear from anyone who has feedback on your fix and if it works
for them or anyone else with ideas that work for them.
