Update KB934238 will not install

I am running XP Home SP2 installed, all updates installed, except...

I know there has been discussion of this, but the thread was too long,
and I could not follow it. So I am starting my own.

I am unable to get Update KB934238 installed. This occurs using
automatic update, and also from the Update website. After 4 tries, I
am just ignoring the automatic update notification.

Viewing the history log, the error code is 0x80242006. And of course
the advice there is not really useful, except to point to this forum.

As an aside, this is described as an improvement to the Printing
module. And it is classified as a Critical Update!. Seems odd to me.

And my printers are working just fine...

Anyhow...

I need some help. Or should I just forget about installing this?
