Hi, this update has been trying to install for the past couple of days. I
have last week installed Vista, (Nightmare), I have now only this last hurdle
to cross then It should be fine!!!!. I have always had the same error code
800736cc until the last attempted install of the update this time error code
80246007. Anu ideas and remidies, before old faithful XP gets re-installed.

thanks

The first error code, 800736cc refers to an error in the language of the
update.
The second, 80246007, refers to a BITS error in regards to downloading
the update.
So, suggest you try a manual download of the update and SAVE it:

Vista 32 bit [x86]
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...8-FA25E4FAFF81

Vista 64 bit [x64]
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...4-1E39EBDF46DA

*** Use the 'Change Language:' drop down window to match the Vista OS
language that is installed ***

After the update is downloaded close all open browsers and programs.
Then install Windows6.0-KB941651-x86.msu .
Restart the system if prompted to.

Did that get the update installed ?
