Update KB951748 stopped me using the internet

Hi,

I hope you can help me.

I dont have Zone Alarm, i am using Norton. This morning i was informed by my
laptop that it had run an updated and had restarted itself. Since then ive
had no internet access.

I followed alot of the threads posted on this website and uninstalled the
update, still not working.

Why do i feel like im the only Norton user that is having this problem. It
only occured after this update and is not a problem with my computer.

What can i try next?

I have never run the program restore function before and am unsure whether
my laptop has recorded a recent restore point as it often hibernates if
unused and is nver often sat idle in order to create a restore point.

Am i out of options?
Please help me.

Windows version?

Assuming WinXP or Vista: If you (1) disable the Norton firewall and then (2)
enable the Windows firewall, does the behavior persist?

Hi. I can't connect with this update either! XP, zone alarm, norton, call
wave. So far I remove the update, but it keeps wanting to be installed. Any
way to just kill this one?

Hi,

I tried what you suggested and it worked.

My internets back up and running. Ive told my pc to ignore the update and i
will manually update my pc once i hear of a cure for the old one.
