In the last few days, Windows update keeps prompting me to install an update
that is already on my computer. I uncheck it and then tell it not check for
this update again. Then it prompts me for another update that is already on
my computer. When I manually check for updates, it tells me I need the last
update if I have not told it not to check for it yet. If I download it, it
disables IE, Outlook Express, WMP, and other MS programs that connect to the
Internet. I am not sure if it has prompted me for the same update as I just
started writting down the numbers. I have run virus and adware programs and
found nothing. All the fixes deal with one update number.
