Update from M/S CM18738/C 3DX PCI Audio Device

C-Media Electronics Sound Wind XP PRO After installation PC only boots to
desk top, wallpaper and that is all. Explorer.exe not responding Task Mngr
shows Zero resources. System Idle Process running 98, svchost running 2, 29
processes running but only those two using any resources. Got on line by
going through task mngr. Perhaps I could find system restore through task
mngr. Or a better solution. Thank you,

Solution: Boot up in safe mode and use restore point to run computer with
settings prior to installation of update. Computer running just fine now
(sweat, sweat). Wish I new what was up with that update supposedly it was
released in 2002 so why is it just coming around now?
