update for Macromedia Flash Player

When I am on line a window pops up and says Macromedia Flash Player Update
so I click on it to update, seems like forever and then it it says
failed...please try again...does anyone know what I can do to make it
update...I have Macromedia Flash Player 8...please help...:-)

Then, go here to get the latest version of FP :

Is MAcromedia Flash Player and Adobe Flash Player two different things? I
have read about them both some but, am still very confused. It won't hurt
anything if I take macromedia Player out? I appreciate very much your quick
response in helping me.Do you need both of them?

They are the same thing. Adobe acquired Macromedia some time ago, Debbie.

Ok then I am going to take out the old one and go get the new dl...thank you

Im not able to download mac flash payer, I need help please any suggestions

If you really did mean FlashPlayer for Mac, obtain the uninstaller and
the Mac FlashPlayer here :
