Update will not work. Error #0x8ddd016

It tells me to make sure that Event Log and Background Intelligence transfer
services ar set on automatic. BITS was set on manual but it was running. I
set it on automatic and restarted it. Update still will not work.

I just tried Zine's question and Maureen Goldman's answer for this problelm
posted on 1/15 & it worked. My mother has automatic update shut off but she
can still get updates manually.
