Update not working for Office Products

Kind of strange....Windows update itself "appears" to be working. That is,
if I go into Add and Remove Programs, and check Show Updates, it shows that
Windows updates have been installed. But I have 5 Office-related product
updates that I have tried over and over and over to apply, with no success.
No error codes--it just tries to install each and just shows "....failed"
after each one, every time. I get the shield down in the taskbar every day
telling me that updates are ready to install, but same result every time.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
