I'm running Vista Home Premium service pack 2......and recently my windows
update page has failed to load..no error message, the screen simply says "The
page failed to load"....the icon in my tray tells me that new updates are
available,but the page fails to load...the only time my system updates is
when it's a critical update and it does it automatic....any suggestions? I've
tried the fix it tool both default and aggressive with no luck...PLEASE HELP

Just so we are all on the same 'page' (pun intended) - when you say 'my
windows update page' - you do mean ...

Control Panel --> Windows Update

That page, right?

Are you referring to http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate or
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate or variations thereof?

If you are, Vista doesn't update via any of those webpages like your WinXP
computer did. See this tutorial:

Hello Smitmon,

I too had the same problem of "The Page Failed to Load".
If you have Stardock Colours in your system, just uninstall it.
It worked for me, hope you too.

Have nice time, YoungJoe.
