Update Page Won't OPen

I've tried updating XP SP2 a few time over the past month. Whenever I go to
the Windows Update page it never opens. It just remains blank as the progress
bar slowly moves to full but nothing ever opens. Is the site being jammed
with traffic or could it be my settings?

3a. Check Windowsupdate.log (%windir%\Windowsupdate.log) for errors
associated with the download/install.
