Greetings,
Understanding how patching works really requires some general knowledge of how programs
actually work at the lower levels but although there is a possibility of something blowing
up, it's pretty low.
Just given the number of people actually using A-Patch and similar things, any issues in the
past have been quickly identified and corrected.
