Likely by now you are more than aware that almost daily third party
applications create additional havoc for all Versions of Windows specifically
XP; that includes Zone Alarm. If your processor supports Data Execution
Prevention (DEP) for protecting your OS Protected Files, when DEP is set to
protect the OS -AND- All Programs, that’s all you need…provided that you use
only XP Windows Firewall.
Be that as it may, have you verified within IE Properties, Advanced Tab,
Security, that "Use TLS 1.0" is Enabled? The TLS 1.0 increasingly is being
used by more https sites for enhanced Security. Be certain that TLS 1.0 is
Enabled, just might resolve your conflict issues.
