update problem KB892130

when i go to update page i am told that i need to download windows genuine
advantage validation tool (KB892130).when i try to download it failsand tells
me to check up date history.this i do and ifind it has been installed already

when i check in add/remove can not find that update within all the
others .
can someone help so i cant update at the moment.

I had a similar problem once with an ACER Aspire 1692WLMI notebook. After
having wondered around for some time I found out that ACER had released a
small patch that would solve the problem. I could not install Office 2003
either before running that patch. But ACER had no information about this in
the PC package, which is auckward, to say the least...

Would this be your case? Hope it helps...

Please try the steps below to resolve your issue:

Please download and execute the WGA diagnostic tool that has been updated
from the
following link:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

Run the tool and visit the Windows update website and try to update again.

no still the same,download fails,history saya i have it,cannot find it in add
and remove
