This update requires Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1

Hey all,

I keep running into this issue all across the network recently where I try
and update IE. It gives me the message

"This update requires Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 to be installed"

Now the problem being I have SP 1 installed on all machines!
From help / about

Version: 6.0.2800.1106
Update versions:; SP1

Its a Win 2000 network, PC's and Server's all experiancing the problem, with
ISA 2000 as the proxy.

Even if I reinstall IE 6 SP 1 then restart, it works only untill I download
some Updates again. Whats worring me is that it seems to be happening network
wide...

Any ideas whats going on?

No idea happens here to ,a right pain in the deriere!!!!!!!!!

Still no solution to this, I have looked around but cant find an answer

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. But it would help if you would tell us which update you are seeing
this message for. <w>

Usually you should guess, when a message makes no sense,
that it is trying to tell you something but perhaps not exactly what
it is telling you literally.

E.g. often this message means: You don't need this update!
(because you already have one installed which supersedes it. Etc.)
I.e., in that case the message is just a True or False indicator
and the actual wording of its text can mislead you.

Post more details about a specific instance if you need more help.

Ah Begorragh no Adrian methinks it is a worldwide problem like windows!!!!!!!
