Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 (891861)

After I installed the above mentioned MS patch into my Windows 2000 server
(Std Edition), my SQL Server failed to start after the server rebooted.

Apps log :
- Schedule and delivery processor cannot connect to the report server database
- Unable to collect the "FTP/IIS/ performance statistic. The error code
returned by the service is data DWORD 0.

Service failed to start :
- MSSQLSERVER
- MSSQLAGENT
- Compay remote monitor service

And after I remove the (891861) patch from server, I managed to get the
system up but I found following warning messages in Apps Event Viewer.

"The configuration information of the performance library X
for the Y service does not match the trusted performance
library information stored in the registry. The functions in
this library will not be treated as trusted."

for the following services:
X Y
WINNT\System32\aspperf.dll ASP
WINNT\System32\infoctrs.dll InetInfo
WINNT\System32\ftpctrs2.dll MSFTPSVC
WINNT\System32\w3ctrs.dll W3SVC

Anyone emcountered the same problem before, appreciate for you advice. Thanks

I'm also having problems with this rollup. A ghosted drive g was
created after the rollup. Workstations lost connectivity randomly to
the server. Contacted MS support and their software engineer is working
on a new build of mountmgr.sys file.

You should report your case to MS support and you'll get free support
since this is hotfix related.
