"The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view"

http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/
immediately redirects to
http://update.microsoft.com/windowsu....aspx?ln=en-us

click "Express" button [Get high-priority updates (recommended)]

Sometimes immediately, sometimes after half a minute the error message
appears.

Read the rest of the group...yes the servers are busy. In any case Patch
Tuesday updates aren't released yet.
That redirection is normal - Microsoft Update is preferable to Windows
Update as it looks for updates for applications other than just Windows.

I have tried for two days to get updates.Despite Automatic being on.

I get the same message with Ox 8024001D against each failed update error

Can you help resolve.
