I'm not sure whether this will do what you want, but try Start -> Run, then:
wuauclt /detectnow
Otherwise, go to the Windows Update/Microsoft Update web site, click on
Custom, and choose the updates you wish to install. They will not be
downloaded again if they are already downloaded and waiting.
