I got an "urgent security warning" from Windows update, and after going
through three download screens and restarting, I assume it's downloaded it on
me. When I try to activate Ventrillo so I can go frag some people with my
squad, however, I find out that my microphone will not work. Ventrillo claims
that there is another program using my mic. There isn't. It worked last
night. I signed off. I got on today. Windows Update. It doesn't work.
The update in question was
"Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP
5.1 (KB842773)"
Yeah. "urgent security warning" indeed. Greedy stupid self-replicating
tricky program, I'm shutting it down right away...
Does anybody know how to uninstall updates? Or disable them?
