Update V5 fails

Error number: 0x80244017

When is this error going to be fixed? Windows Update V5 fails when a system
is behind a firewall that requires authentication. This has never been a
problem untill now with V5. The firewall logs show the system tring to
connect to the site without using the password supplied to IE when we opened
the site. This issue needs to be resolved this is now the 7th time ive had to
try and find a compant MS employee to respond so far everyone tells me
DISABLE THE FIREWALL. Alot of good that will do then i wont be able to access
the internet at all and disabling the authentication or adding new rules is
out of the question. Someone at MS please respond about when this issue will
be fixed. I know i am not the only person out there having these issues.

According to my firewall logs windows update is authenticating as
DOMAIN\COMPUTERNAME$ not the DOMAIN\USERNAME. When I added "all
authenticated users" to my rule in ISA 2004 the error no longer occurs and I
can get to the updates.
