Hi, we have a cyberlounge in oz. I went to the update
site and downloaded the V5 of the updates. Just doing
this caused major problems with our network. eg shell
folders (my documents) not opening, Security tabs have
dissapeared for the administrator users in right click,
properties. And this was all for the windows update only.
I havn't even downloaded the patches yet. has anyone
else had any probs like this. It took me ages to set up
our images with the right security. needless to say i
only did two pc's. it seems i can't use the updates now.
So my pc's are vulnerable until i can. cheers,

ps. i havn't been
game to download sp2 yet because of all the effects it
has on the huge list of programs microsoft says it will
effect of which we use about 8, but i am worried about
the constant reminders to update which microsoft say will
pop up. In a cyberlounge this is not good, I assume this
will be able to be turned off. cheers, jonathon.
