I try to install the Update for Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 Service Pack 1 (KB
937986) by Microsoft update. Everytime I become the Errorcode 0x11.
When I try to install the update manualy I become the meassebox

the system can not move the file to an other drive.

This issue occurs when the Temp folder is not located where the update
'thinks' it will be.
Reset the Temp variable to it's Default setting
For XP right click My Computer either on the Desktop or Start Menu and
choose Properties.
Click the Advanced tab, then the Environment Variables button

User variables for your User Account:
Click on TEMP, click the Edit button
Variable Value should be %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
The same goes for TMP

System variables:
TEMP %SystemRoot%\TEMP
TMP %SystemRoot%\TEMP

After the update installs, reset the TEMP/TMP variables to what you want
them to be set to ... at least until the next update for VPC comes out <w>

You're mowst welcome. No KB as of yet that I'm aware of, but I do recall
another update installation issue that was resolved by restoring the
TEMP/TMP variables to their Default setting.
I *think* it was an MDAC update:
