When I bought Windows Vista. I never knew there was a difference when it
comes to ram between each version. 32bit has a 3GB Max. 64Bit has an 8GB Max.

Since i bought the 32bit version, can i install the 64bit version or upgrade
to it without paying another boatload of $?

Thanks

Please note that 64 bit Vista requires a clean installation, and the
physical amount of RAM it actually uses is 128 GBs.

Home Basic - 8 GBs max
Home Premium - 16 GBs max
Business, Enterprise and Ultimate - 128 GBs.

I tried that link and entered everything in and double checked it all twice.

Both times it said 'No Offer Found'.

If this is an OEM version of Vista, you might have to get that from the OEM
you purchased your PC from.

It is indeed the OEM version. I got Vista with an LCD Monitor i purchased.

I dont understand why I cant get it through microsoft? Or how i can even go
through the manufacturer?

Monitor if matters... Samsung Syncmaster 226BW 22"

OEM versions of Windows Vista are sold either as a
32-bit version or a 64-bit version. In your case, you'll
need to purchase the 64-bit version.

Huh, but none of the retail editions except for Ultimate FPP and Upgrade
come with 64 bit media, so Scott84 is still in a conundrum.

I know that Carey's post is a bit disappointing Scott84. Why don't you try
looking on eBay for a 64 bit version of OEM Home Premium if really need it?
You might get it cheaper than buying the retail Upgrade of Vista Home
Premium then having to go through ordering process again.

It is indeed dissapointing.

I got Vista in a LCD + Vista Combo. It's not like they through it in for
free. I paid much more to get Vista.

There's no way I am buying the same operating system again. I can't afford
to buy another copy of windows.

Thanks for your help. I guess I am out of luck
