"chris",
I am sorry you are running into this problem, but we would need a little
more information. Try this temporarily.
1. Close all Internet Explorer windows, and any other Internet browser
windows.
2. Open one Internet Explorer window to some site besides the Windows Update
site.
3. Click Tools
4. Click Internet Options...
5. Click the Security tab
6. Click the "Trusted Sites" icon
7. Click the Sites
8. Add
http://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
9. Add
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
10. Add
http://download.microsoft.com
11. Click OK
12. Still in the Trusted Sites tab, change the default security level to Low
13. Click OK and confirm
14. Try the Windows Update site again.
Let us know how this goes.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
