And, how, exactly, does this program improve a user's experience if they
already know they are running a legit copy of XP?

Yup, they have GA'd my PC so many times
it's like a car with inspection stickers from all
50 states.

I am not an apologist (look it up) for WGA Notifications. However, WGA
Notifications protect *you* and other legit users by flagging those using
pirated Windows versions and eventually disabling the machines if the owners
don't get legit.

Thanks for your feedback. A WGAN update usually comes down the pike at
least 2 or 3 times a year. cf. http://blogs.msdn.com/wga

No need, I have a college education but I probably knew what that word
meant before you were a gleam in your father's eye. Of course, the
following is about as close to being an apologist as you can get:

How so? Pirated copies of XP can get all Windows Updates and run anti
malware apps. Please explain your FUD.

No answer to either question, so I will take your FUD as FUD and take
your non-answer to the first question as WGA does *nothing* to improve
an XP install for people who *know* they are running a legit copy and
only serves to try and recruit paying customers to do Microsoft's and
the police's work for them with no pay. Pretty scurvy if you ask me.
