update for windows dreamscene

G'day,

I keep fetting the same windows dream scene update from 25/09/07 for windows
dreamscene

the other thing is i can't seem to find Documents and Settings in C:/

If you are using Vista, there is no Documents and Settings folder.
C:/users has a list of users and each user has their own documents folder.

With which OS? Why are you looking for that folder on that drive?
On XP that would normally be where %USERPROFILE% points to
but it would (usually) only be on C: if that was your %SystemDrive%

To check that switch to a Command Prompt window (or Run... cmd.exe)
and enter:

set u
and
set sy


BTW you may get better assistance from a newsgroup which supports
your OS. I suspect it is Vista and would normally cross-post to its
Performance and Maintenance NG

I've been troubleshooting this over the past week but posted in the Windows
Update newsgroup regarding this. There a guy named Bob claimed that
unininstalling then reinstalling three updates (one of which is the base
Dreamscene update) fixed it for him. I was only able to discover one,
933713, but removing it only reprompted a reinstallation and it all looped
again into reoffering of 933713. The other two updates Bob mentioned were
931133 & 941236. The 941236 update is a DreamScene "FavPack"; my guess is
this provides additional DreamScene backgrounds.

I too am eagerly looking for support on this.

Same here! It's awful, just because I've found some info on "Windows Update
downloading the same update on and on", but all the solutions were of no help

I have the same issue...!! I've been at it for a week too..! I followed all
the promts and did a ful un-install and then they said if you went back in
and searched for extras it'd come back up to download. didn't though.
re-booted, re-built and re-installed this twice in the last 2 days (another
error, couldn't play game to directx version conflict). it's driving me
insane too. and to think this machine and vista is 5 days old to get these
headaches..
