Update Windows or Microsoft

When I try to update my computer either Windows or Microsoft I get this error
# 0x80070715. Also it tells me that I am not connected to the internet when I
am connected. I am so confused now. I haven't had any updates in months nows.

What OS is this? If it's XP you can try running proxycfg -d
Also you might want to run
net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
delete c:\windows\softwaredistrabution
net start bits
net start wuauserv
