Hi,

Using the Windows Vista Update I get the message that I have to install an
update on the Windows Update first. A few minutes after starting the install
I get the message: Cant look for updates! Error Code80000FFFF

What's wrong, I cant get any updates because I keep on getting back to the
'You have to...."

Anyone knows how do deal with this problem?

Open IE 7, click Tools, Manage Add-ons
Set the Show: window to " Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer "
Locate WUWebControlClass and click once on it to highlight it
Than click the 'Update ActiveX' button towards the bottom

NOTE: Vista not installed here so the above may not be applicable in Vista

Didn't help.As you thought no WUWebControlClass in Vista. I found
MUWebControlClass in WindowsXP(on a different computer) but that is not in
Vista either.
Any other suggestions?
