Hi,

Has anyone had to install this update more than once? ON auto update it
installed. After I rebooted, I got a popup message that it was ready to be
installed. I installed it again. I finally went to Windows Update and lo and
behold it was there ready to be installed. I installed it a third time. I
went back to the Update Page and it shows "ready to be installed"

My Installed History shows 3 installs.

Any suggestions to what I can do?

Thanks.

How to troubleshoot Windows Update or Microsoft Update when you are repeatedly
offered an update
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=910339

Windows Update already installed
http://www.updatexp.com/windows-upda...installed.html

Windows Update says the update is still needed

Thanks for your help. After I rebooted, it now shows no updates are needed.

I have the same problem. I tried all three of these sites, none of
them worked for me. My solution is to tell windows update not to show
it again. At least until someone figures out what is wrong.

It has installed 6x's since yesterday. Checking %Windir%\KB920872.log it
shows failed!
downloaded WindowsXP-KB920872-x86-ENU and installed safemode

Still says in need to install - record on successful updates from MS side
shows green installed.

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP? If you could email along with post it would be
appreciated.

I am having the same problem and took the same steps to correct it.
The problem still exists.

Anyone find a solution?
