1. Repair the Office installation (you can do that from Add/Remove and select "change".
You'll be given the option to repair.
2. Complete remove and reinstall Office 2007.
The error indicates "No valid sequence could be found for the set of patches"
Before you start, make sure you have your Office CD handy and just in case "know your
product key".
When you tried to do the manual scan from Office Updates, did you go via (Office Update)?

| Hello TaurArian,
|
| When I go to the page you indicate and click the "Check for Microsoft
| Updates" button, I get forwarded to the same update page again, with the same
| results (it does not recognise Office, even though it does recognise
| Windows). When I looked in my Update log, there were a number of entries with
| warnings that looked like this:
|
| WARNING: Failed to evaluate Installable rule, updateId =
| {BC5CAC7D-A8E3-4C69-BD2A-D490EC1ACCA1}.100, hr = 80070663
|
| (but obviously with a different ID in each line).
|
| Any idea what could be causing tihs?
|
| Thanks,
| Michael
