you are probably already aware of the error message,
and yes, ALL the services that NEED to be running, are.
i.e. BITS update even installer.
so pls spare me the repeats of the canned msgs.
sooo... why am i still getting this msg when i try to
update from the site?
what can i do to fix this problem a.s.a.p?
and give me a reason not to dynamite this thing?

Reboot into safe mºde (F-8)

Click the green checkmark and click Go.

After it has finished, try Windows Update and see if you can get your
updates installed.
