Updater still shows SP1 needed after SP2 installed

I have just updated to XP SP2, and when I go to the
Windows updater page on the web it still show that I need
to install XP SP1. How do I stop this needless update
from showing up.

Right click My Computer, click Properties
What does it say under "System"?

I downloaded the Admin copy of XP SP2 and installed it from the file
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU( I have several computers
that I need to update)

I had the same problem. My Computer/System Properties did not show any SP
info after installing SP2. For interest, I did what the Update Site was
asking and installed SP1 (it was a much shorter install than normal). Now, My
Computer/System Properties shows SP1 again and Add/Remove Programs no longer
shows SP2 (though all the new features of SP2 remain elsewhere). I wonder
what I've ended up with....
