Updates on 7-29-04

I installed two critical updates for XP Pro SP1 on 7-29-04. These were the
only updates offered. The next day Update came back telling me I needed to
run updates clear back to 2001. All of the updates I had installed over
many months were suddenly gone. I could reinstall all these updates, but I
don't want to just do it blindly.

Has anyone else seen this? When I run Update on the MS site, it says all my
updates and patches are gone.
