Updates and Hotfixes

I have downloaded and installed a lot of hotfixes for Vista x64
Ultimate. There is always the warning that states this may or may not
be the final version and to install this hotfix only if you are
experiencing problems.

My question: Once SP1 is released, will it overwrite the old hotfix
with the new patch, or will I have to manually uninstall each hotfix
prior to installing SP1?

It depends, it might not even include it all since the fix might be specific
to your system. Service Packs fixes general issues with Windows on system.
It doesn't meet every specific criteria, certain things will continue to
come through Windows Update for certain users with special cases, yours
might fall into this category.

Your answer shattered is no, you will not have to uninstall any fixes, and
all Win XX SPs are inclusive so they will include latest hotfixes as were
initially installed on previous updates (particular to your machine)

just run the SP when you get it.
