I just finished updating windows xp pro, and also updating WMP 10 to 11 and
IE6 to 7. update consisted of hotfixes security updates .net updates, and
more. now WMP 11 will not add music to the library and IE7 will not access
certain websites. Rolled back 11 to 10 and IE7 to 6 and still having issues,
rolled back to XP SP1 from SP2 but no give to the problem. what is the next
possiblity without going to a fresh install of OS. I have a backup drive so
fresh xp wont be a prob just a hassle if it is an easy fix i am overlooking.
i have already been to zach's site located in the media player groups here
and tried all of those fixes only in guest login will WMP10 work correctly
but not in my login. IE 6 or 7 will not work accordingly in either logins
even with the user agent string utility on Microsoft's fix for IE7. with
updates removed with add/remove programs and programs here rolled back to
previous versions what would be next? by tomorrow i will probably go with a
fresh xp but i will wait for a reply. Thanks
