Greetings Jaco,
I assume by ".Net" you mean the .NET Framework and one of its versions there of. I also have
had a machine which didn't have this latest 3.5 version of .NET installed yet inform me that
it wanted to install the update.
In the selection box where you chose the updates, just right-click and tell it to hide the
update for now. Just out of random curiosity however, is there any particular reason you
don't want the framework installed?
