Updates downloaded but wont install

The computer in question started to download SP2 but the user asked for it to
be installed off CD to save them the download.
Once that was completed the problem has occured that Windows Update offers
updates, the computer downloads the updates but cant install them??
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You Cannot Install Some Updates or Programs “Digital Signature not found�
When you use the Windows Update Web site to install updates, the installation fails
and the Windows Update.log file contains error 80070643.

Thanks for your reply Taurarian, but the problem is not related to signatures
or at least there are no error messages that suggest anything to do with
Digital Signatures. If anyone else has seen this problem, any suggestions??

Could you post the end of the Windows Update log? The user can find it by:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. type notepad %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log <Enter>
4. Scroll all the way to the end, or just press <CTRL> <END>

Am I correct in assuming that SP2 actually DID install successfully?

Hi Pat

I can check that if you wish. ut am pretty sure the install was succesful as
I installed from from a 250MB download of SP2
